Installation and Training Engineer

Position Summary:  This individual will install and configure PAS’ products at customer’s sites and conduct training for customers on use and administration of PAS products. They will provide technical support to customers, and develop documentation for all completed installation projects. They will work closely with software developers, customer care, quality assurance and installation engineers to complete installation projects successfully, and demonstrate a professional attitude while interfacing with customers.
Position Requirements: 
  • Strong IT background and practical skills with the following areas:
  • Operating Systems: Windows (NT/XP/2000/2003/2008) and UNIX.
  • Networking: Good understanding of networks and how to troubleshoot network connectivity
  • Software and technologies: MS-Office Suite (especially, IIS, MS-DOS, VB Scripting, SQL Server, SQL Queries, FTP, TCP/IP, Telnet.
  • Strong experience with software installation and deployment or customer support.
  • Ability to present and conduct professional training classes
Preferred Skills:
  • MSCE (or equivalent) certification
  • A+ certification
  • Work experience in the an industrial or plant environment is a definite plus
  • Programming skills in one of these areas (C,C++/C#, VB6, VB.NET) is a plus
Interpersonal Skills:
  • Independent, problem solver with positive attitude, self-starter with ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Time management skills
Travel Requirements:
  • 80% of the time
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
